Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota

I like Weird Al a lot, and one of the songs I’ve always found interesting is “Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota”.
Last year, curious, I looked it up.
There really is a twine ball in Minnesota. Actually, there are bunches of them across the country.
I haven’t figured out exactly why people would want to make a big ball of twine – or, once made, why people would want to go see it. But they do…

Just recently, however, I started wondering about the other attractions listed in his song. I was surprised to find out that they all exist.
Elvis-a-Rama – in San Francisco, this display contains over 2,000 pieces of memorabilia and personal effects of one Elvis Aron Presley. The museam even includes several live shows with genuine Elvis impersonators. (Anyone remember the movie with the parachuting Elvises – Elvi?)
The Tupperware Museum – in Kissimmee, Florida. Unfortunately, that museam is closed. Oh well.
The Boll Weevil Monument – Ok, I have to admit, this is one of my favorites… in Enterprise, Alabama.
Cranberry World – in Plymouth, Mass. All you could ever want to know about Cranberries and then some.
Shuffleboard Hall of Fame – The Shuffleboard Hall of Fame was founded in the 1990’s and has exactly 12 members so far. The headquarters is in the same city – St. Petersburg, Florida – as the world’s largest shuffleboard court.
Poodle Dog Rock – I’m not entirely sure this is the right attraction, but it was the closest I could find.
Mecca of Albino Squirrels – Olney, Illanois. Hehe! Ok, this one’s really funny. People get some weird ideas.

Also, there’s a Poodle Rock, which might be what Mr. Yankovic was referring to.
