I’ll just say this.

These hardware failures at the same time as a software upgrade/modification can bloody well STOP ANYTIME.

    Assuming my connection stays up long enough for me to type this…
    Part I was the Airport Base Station upgrade, followed by Liz’s card deciding to play hide & go seek with the home LAN.
    Part II is that after the IT folk here at work finishing 4 days of firewall & network & whatever changes, my NIC is occasionally forgetting all my settings, and ipconfig /renew just gets me an error. So I reboot. I’ve rebooted about 8 times today. They’re trying to find me a new NIC.
    Aren’t they like $10?
