No, I don’t know what happened.
When I first saw it today, I thought it was a smudge of dirt or ink or something. But it doesn’t rub off and it hurts when I touch it.
Gah.
On a lighter note, JC Penney’s is not improving its customer relations any… they’ve made it way too difficult to purchase anything with a gift card that is not IN the store.
JC Penney’s started out as a catalog company… I mean, that’s where its roots are. You’d think they’d have figured out the whole catalog thing already.
But no… we’ve had to bounce back and forth between the store, the web and the phone about 8 times now and we hope we will be getting our new DVD player some time in the next week or so.
I wrote them a long snipey email about it, too.
They just seem to have little interest in actually helping us since they already have their money. (Believe me, if you could cash in a Gift Card, I would have and promptly taken our money to Best Buy where they have knowledgable, polite staff and an interest in us being satisfied customers)
